What is the Ambassadors Circle?

The Ambassadors Circle is a collaborative effort by Big Brothers Big Sisters current and former volunteers, former Littles, parents, staff, clergy and professionals who support the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, an affiliate of the nation’s oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization.

The mission of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee Ambassadors Circle is to be an elite Philanthropic membership group that is designed to work alongside other professionals engaged in supporting the agency’s mission.

The vision is that by leveraging the relationships of its members, this group will be an effective liaison between the agency and the community we serve.

The goal of the Ambassadors Circle is to create a platform for members to build relationships, develop philanthropically and to expand their personal and professional horizons.

Why should you join the “Movement?"
Because we know that you are someone who desires to positively impact youth in our community and your believe in and support the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Ambassadors Circle can provide you with an opportunity to make a significant impact.  Some of the individual benefits of your Ambassador Circle membership includes:
  • Opportunity to improve the quality of life for Middle Tennessee's children through affiliation with one of the nations's most trusted and effective charitable organizations. 
  • Work alongside and build relationships with a network of like-minded professionals who share your ambition and support of for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
  • Have access to all agency events, enabling you to see your contributions at work by coming face-to-face with the agency’s children, families, volunteers and Board of Directors.
  • Be invited to intimate quarterly events that enable you to have meaningful dialogue with some of the most prominent and well-respected business leaders throughout the county, many of whom are personally involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
  • Have networking opportunities through social mixers in some of Nashville’s most happening venues.
  • Build a well-rounded resume through inclusion of community service activities through Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Role of an Ambassador-
  Members will be asked to:  
  • Recruit volunteers and donors of diverse backgrounds
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with key people and organizations within our community
  • Support the strategic initiatives of the agency by active participation and engagement agency activities
  Each Ambassador will be urged to participate in two primary service areas within the agency:

  • Volunteer Recruitment- Ambassadors are encouraged to serve the agency by assisting with the volunteer recruitment by     leveraging their networks to help identify additional Big Brothers and Big Sisters.  Ambassadors will be asked to help with the periodic recruitment related events and encouraged to solicit opportunities for Big Brothers Big Sisters recruitment presentations.
  • Resource Development- Ambassadors are encouraged to also serve in the area of resource development by leverageing their networks to ledn further support to and participation in annual Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraising events.  Ambassadors are encouraged to serve on an event or resource development committee that is of most interest to them.
Membership: $120 annual contribution ($100 for active Bigs)
Your annual contribution is 100% tax deductible and goes directly to helping Big Brothers Big Sisters provide one-to-one mentoring relationships for "at-risk" children in our community.
