Big Brothers Basketball League-
Canceled for Nov. & Dec.08
Big Brothers Big Sisters has developed a basketball league for LITTLES (boys) ages 12 and up. The games are held the first Saturday of the month at the YMCA on Harding Place (411 Metroplex Drive) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. If your LITTLE is interested and would like to play with other LITTLES in the program, please make sure they bring a t-shirt, tennis shoes, and athletic shorts to the game (basketball attire). We also encourage the BIGS to come prepared to play basketball as well.

The Amachi Kids Club
The Amachi Kid’s Club dedicates itself to honoring and unlocking the potential of each child of incarceration.
BBBS Amachi Kids Club is an expressive arts program providing art, drama, dance, writing, film, music, crafts, and other activities for children in the Amachi program
We hope to help children increase their level of self-confidence, self-esteem, ability to express feelings, trust levels, sense of future, and communication skills. We encourage matches to attend and participate together. Meetings are held at the Pruitt Library Auditorium in the Napier Community every 1st Saturday of the Month!

t.o.t.a.l.-ly teens
STotally Outstanding Teen Advocates for the Library (T.O.T.A.L.) promotes literacy and library services to teens in the Nashville community. T.O.T.A.L. members (all of whom are teens) research, plan and implement programs of interest to teenagers living in the Nashville area. rockin at rocketown
This hot spot for teens is kid tested and parent approved. Rocketown is a 40,000-square-foot entertainment facility for youth that provides a safe atmosphere. The drug-, alcohol- and smoke-free warehouse? the brainchild of Christian/pop recording artist Michael W. Smith ? features a large coffeehouse complete with pool tables, comfy sofas and a big-screen TV. Three different stages in the venue host a variety of live concerts throughout the year, featuring bands from a large variety of genres.
One of the most popular attractions at Rocketown is the Sixth Avenue Skate Park, an indoor arena with ramps, rails, half pipes and more, offering ultimate thrills for skateboarders, BMX riders and inline skaters.
Rocketown is located at 401 Sixth Ave. S. in Nashville. Parents are welcome to come check it out, but remember, it?s a youth environment! Coffeehouse and skate park hours are Mon - Thu 3 - 9 p.m., Fri 3 p.m. - 12 a.m., Sat 9 a.m. - 12 a.m. Admission to the skate park is $7 for three hours; monthly membership is $39 for unlimited skating. girls just want to have fun
Teen girls ages 13 - 17 can hang out, have fun and learn new skills during the monthly Girl Talk program at the Patterson Park Community Center in Murfreesboro. A variety of activities take place including guest speakers, cooking instruction, makeovers, hair-styling, ?chick flicks,? pizza parties and more. The program meets on the second Thursday of every month from 6 - 7 p.m. Admission is $2. The center is located at 521 Mercury Blvd. To participate, call 893-7439.
