We have a One Time Training for new volunteers.
We strongly encourage our waiting volunteers or recently matched volunteers to attend.

Volunteer Development-Two Sessions and Two dates!
Tues., May 11 from 6-7 pm in Rutherford County-Canceled due to lack of interest
Bigs and Littlesare invited to attend a development session on child abuse prevention. Kids will be educated and will love the approach from the Kids on the Block puppets! Bigs will leave with proper language and handouts to help answer questions. Please RSVP to wendy.perkins@bbbs.org This session will be at the Big Brothers Big Sisters office in Murfreesboro.

Thurs., May 13 from 6-7 pm in Davidson County
Bigs/Guardians only are invited to a development session on child abuse prevention. If you have not seen Kids on the Block then you should not miss this session! It's educational but fun and interactive. RSVP by Wed., May 12 to wendy.perkins@bbbs.org. This session will be held in Turner Commons located on the second floor of the building where Big Brothers Big Sisters is located.

Kids on the Block’s Child Abuse Prevention in-service educates on the ways to identify abuse, gives the participants knowledge of their rights and responsibilities as adults and helps provide the skills needed to take a disclosure of abuse PLUS the puppets will make an appearance too! www.KOBnashville.org
Big and Little Training...together!
In Feb., Big Brothers Big Sisters will be starting the Big Little Training (BLT) for newly matched Bigs and Littles that have been matched for 0-3 months.
BLT is a fun and informative training session designed to help you learn more about what it means to be a Big and Little. This 2 hour session filled with games and activities is a great opportunity for you and your Little to learn more about each other. You will walk away with great tips to help you both as you develop your friendship.
Come mingle with other Bigs and Littles and agency staff and enjoy some pizza for dinner!
