What on Earth are you going to do with that old cell phone?
Recycle it and you’ll help Mother Nature and those in need of emergency communication.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee is collecting used cell
phones on an on-going basis for the benefit of children in need of
mentoring services in middle Tennessee.
The used phones are sent to a recycling program where they are donated
to emergency relief shelters who use there for 911 (emergency use only)
phones, or those that are not usable are safely recycled. Cell
phones contain many toxins and are very hazardous to our environment
and they should not end up in landfills.
All cell phones, regardless of age or working condition, are
accepted. Big Brothers Big Sisters receives a monetary
donation from the program for each phone recycled. Accessories
such as headsets, auxiliary chargers, etc. are accepted but not
necessary. Make certain to deactivate your phone as well, prior
to donation, by contacting your service provider.
You may donate your used cell phone at our office at One Vantage Way,
Suite C-250, Nashville or call (615) 329-9191 for assistance.
