Big Brothers Big Sisters is a donor and volunteer supported organization helping vulnerable children beat the odds.

Funding is used to conduct background checks on volunteers to ensure child safety; and provide ongoing support for children, families and volunteers to build and sustain long-lasting relationships. Big Brothers Big Sisters is proven to improve children’s odds for succeeding in school, behaving nonviolently, avoiding drugs and alcohol, and breaking negative cycles.

Join former Tennessee Titan Blaine Bishop in supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters!

You might have heard that Blaine is one of our board members for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee - but may not have realized he is also a Little Brother from the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program having experienced the power of a mentor first hand as a child.

Blaine is the Honorary Chairperson for this year's Jack in the Box Bowl for Kids' Sake, our annual bowl-a-thon fund raising event. You can pledge his team with a donation by clicking here. Or put together your own team and sign up by clicking here.

Quick Steps to Participate in the Jack in the Box Bowl for Kids Sake

1. The easiest way to participate is to go to our bowling website, www.tnbowling.org.

2. Select a date from those available on the website. If none of these will work, contact Jim Robert at 615-522-5665 for your own date.

3. Sign up as a team captain or team member.

4. Contact your employer about the great possibilities for sponsorships. Details are available on the website or call for more information.

5. Send emails to all your friends, co-workers and family to support you in this great cause. It’s very easy and saves you time! Best of all, when you use the website, you don’t have to collect any of the money from donations. It’s all done for you automatically.

6. Show up on the date of your event with a copy of your donations from you website. Pledge sheets are also available for anyone who does not have access to a computer.

Just remember…It’s a fundraiser….It’s not about bowling, it’s about the kids!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee is proud to be in the Midtown Mill Works Building, part of the Nashville Youth Opportunity Center, at 1704 Charlotte Avenue in Nashville. Our new home will eventually be shared by several Middle Tennessee non-profit organizations also serving our community's youth - the Oasis Center, STARS, and United Neighborhood Health Services to name a few.
