The Volunteer Activities Committee meets monthly to plan group activities for Bigs and Littles that promote socialization among matches and recruitment of new Bigs.
The committee's leadership team meets bi-monthly, with the remainder of the meetings open to all Bigs and held at various social venues throughout Nashville.

Big Brothers Big Sisters PicnicOur annual gathering of Bigs, Littles, friends, family members, and supporters was a huge success this year! Special thanks to our sponsors Arby's, Mrs. Winner's, Webb's Refreshments, and Pepsi for a terrific lunch and a great afternoon.

"Playing in the Dirt"
Hands on Nashville’s Kids Care Club program invited Big Brothers Big Sisters to “play in the dirt” at Truth and Reconciliation Project’s Community Garden in West Nashville. Our matches helped mulch, weed, and participate in educational games pertaining to food security.

Sunkist "Take a Stand" Lemonade SaleSunkist and Harris Teeter teamed up to encourage young people to get involved in their communities by selling lemonade to raise money for charity. Big Brothers Big Sisters was one of six charities selling fresh lemonde to shoppers while country singer and "Take a Stand" spokesperson Billy Dean performed a live concert.

Nashville Sounds GameOver 140 of our Bigs and Littles headed to the ball park to celebrate National Volunteer Month. Proudly wearing new Big Brothers Big Sisters t-shirts, the group enjoyed beautiful weather and a record-tying ball game.

Hip Hop Dance Lessons
Vanderbilt University's VIBE hip hop dance group volunteered to teach our Bigs and Littles how to groove. Well, they tried at least with some of us.
